Andrew and Makenna are officially Mr & Mrs! While planning their wedding, they realized it wasn’t lining up with what they truly wanted for their special day and decided to change it all up for an intimate elopement at the Indiana Statehouse! When I first spoke with Makenna, I remember chatting about her vision for their engagement session being “statehouse elopement-esque” (and it turned out so cute) so I wasn’t too surprised to hear they decided to go this direction for their big day! We had so much fun working with them! It was very special capturing the two of them as they exchanged their vows in front of their parents and then mingling with their guests at their cozy reception held by Eddie Merlot’s. It was the perfect day! We hope these two are enjoying settling into their new home and planning their dream honeymoon!

Sadie & Chuck | A Golden Engagement Photography Session at the Cusp of Spring in Carmel, Indiana | Indianapolis Destination Wedding Photographers

We met Sadie and Chuck on a beautiful, brisk night last week for their engagement photography session and it was truly lovely! The bright, golden light made for some deep, romantic imagery while the colorful skies gave off a dream-like feel as the two snuggled up. This Carmel park did not disappoint, even on the cusp of spring. We had such a great time giggling through this session with them and cannot wait to capture their big day later this year!

The One Where Ross and Tracey Get Married on Sanibel Island | Florida Destination Wedding Photographers

Here’s to Mr & Mrs Patton!

Ross, Tracey and their closest loved ones gathered on the beaches of Sanibel Island to exchange their vows. It was the most perfect evening, complete with a light breeze and ever-changing scenery. After sealing their love with a kiss and taking in an absolutely stunning sunset, they returned to Casa Ybel for dinner and drinks at Thistle Lodge. This elopement was extra special to us because we also got married on Sanibel’s beautiful sand and had our reception at Thistle Lodge! Such a fun and heartwarming coincidence. To top off their big day, they announced their pregnancy! Double excitement for them and their family! We had a wonderful time capturing this sweet couple’s southwest Florida destination wedding and wish them so much love and happiness throughout the rest of life’s journey!

Katelin & Robert | A Soft and Romantic Early Fall Engagement in Carmel, Indiana | Indianapolis Destination Wedding Photographers

I had such a wonderful time working with Katelin and Robert during their engagement session last week! All of the early fall scenery added a soft, romantic touch to their images and I am LOVING it! This is my favorite season transition, for sure. As much as I love fall colors, it’s the in between seasons that really catch my eye. Not to mention, I love this cozy pastel outfit these two wore for the second half of their session! We spent the evening laughing together and I had the chance to see how adorable these two are when they make each other laugh! We can’t wait to capture their big day next year!

Here’s to Mr & Mrs Arnott!

When we got home from last Saturday’s wedding, we went straight to bed, as we usually do. But before turning out the light, I looked at the weather forecast for the morning and lots of rain was heading our way—again. I fell asleep with a little prayer for a clear morning so that Courtney and Tanner could enjoy saying their vows at beautiful Coxhall Gardens in Carmel, Indiana. Needless to say, we were shocked to wake up to a gorgeous, sunny morning. What a dream! I am so glad the weather worked out perfectly for Courtney and Tanner’s special day. These two wrote their own vows and read them aloud in front of Tanner’s daughter, two of their friends and us. This is why we love elopements so much—they are so romantic and relaxed. This was a great way to spend Race Day in Indy! We wish these two nothing but a life full of love and light and we hope to work with them on all of their future milestones!
