One of Kat’s favorite parts of her job is capturing families as they grow! She has been so fortunate to have many families trust in her to encapsulate monumental moments from the time their little one is just a bump all the way to when they are getting their first round of braces! Growing families and graduates are very close to her heart!

I want your experience to feel like grabbing coffee with your bestie—fun, natural, and priceless. I will approach your portrait session with a unique of photojournalistic style that focuses on the little details and the belly laughs. I will guide you through carefree posing techniques that will enhance your comfort and confidence in front of the camera. No forced smiles here—if little ones will be a part of your session, we will let them lead so we get REAL smiles out of them. My 0-12 month baby photography is “baby led” where their posing is simplistic and natural to them. Nothing is forced so we can keep them happy and calm. My goal is for you to be relaxed and to ENJOY this special session with your loved ones.
In the end, you will not only have memories frozen in time that will induce emotions of nostalgia and warmth when looked back upon, but you and your children will also gain confidence in front of the camera for future sessions and phone-snapped moments.

Family sessions are close to my heart since capturing families is what made me fall in love with photography initially! You know your family best so you tell me what you think will work best for them! If you aren’t sure if you need extended time, I’m happy to offer recommendations based on the age range of your children.
Based on the time of year, I will send location recommendations as well as my guide to planning your outfits. We have SO many stunning parks in Hamilton County that look different each month, so even if you repeat a location, it will look very different from your previous session there!
If you are looking to have family portraits capture outside of Central Indiana, I am happy to hunt down a great spot for the session unless you have a spot in mind already.
