Ross, Tracey and their closest loved ones gathered on the beaches of Sanibel Island to exchange their vows. It was the most perfect evening, complete with a light breeze and ever-changing scenery. After sealing their love with a kiss and taking in an absolutely stunning sunset, they returned to Casa Ybel for dinner and drinks at Thistle Lodge. This elopement was extra special to us because we also got married on Sanibel’s beautiful sand and had our reception at Thistle Lodge! Such a fun and heartwarming coincidence. To top off their big day, they announced their pregnancy! Double excitement for them and their family! We had a wonderful time capturing this sweet couple’s southwest Florida destination wedding and wish them so much love and happiness throughout the rest of life’s journey!

Here’s to Mr & Mrs Gold!

Kaitie and Ryan’s wedding day was such a dream! When these two lovebirds booked with us, they hadn’t selected a date or location yet. I had sent them a list of venues around Indy that represented what they were envisioning for their big day. Then, one night, Michael and I were sitting on the couch chatting about how we would love to go to Nassau so we could go to the pirate museum and see all the history (we are huge history buffs and love pirate history especially). About an hour later, I looked to see a new message from Kaitie where she was letting me know that they had decided to book Sandals Royal Bahamian in Nassau for their wedding! What a crazy amazing coincidence! I couldn’t stop laughing because it was just too unreal!

Fast forward to our trip away with them. We had such a wonderful time with them and their loved ones. The resort was beautiful, the people in town were friendly (yes, we went to the pirate museum!) and the scenery was just unbelievably gorgeous. This is definitely going on the list of locations we would happily go back to! What made their wedding even more fabulous? THAT DRESS! I mean…can you even handle that gorgeous train on this immaculate beach? Because I can’t! To top it all off, there was a beautiful rainbow that came out during their ceremony and some amazing storm clouds rolling in at sunset. Overall, we had so much fun and hope to work with this fun couple on their future milestones!

Megan + Kris | Elegant and Romantic Garden Soiree at Historic Tryon Palace in New Bern, North Carolina | Indianapolis Destination Wedding Photographers

Here’s to Mr & Mrs Fuller!

To say the Fuller wedding was stunning would be a total understatement. Megan and Kris dreamed up such a gorgeous wedding day for their southern destination wedding to New Bern, North Carolina (the home of Pepsi Cola) from Indianapolis. Tryon Palace has such impeccable gardens and beautiful, historic structures that it was the perfect spot to host their elegant garden soiree. As their photographers, we loved capturing every minute of this romantic day and hope we get to return to this beautiful venue! These two and their loved ones were truly wonderful to work with. Our favorite moment would have to be when they read their letters before the ceremony. Both exclaimed “I wrote that in my letter” at one point and got misty. Seeing how much they love each other and are total soulmates was so special. Icing on the cake? Megan and her Delta Gamma sisters demanded a photo with me as we were leaving because she shared with them that I was a sister too! It was one of those days that made me leave in happy tears thanks to Megan’s sweet words during our goodbyes. We truly have the BEST couples! We hope these two have been enjoying their honeymoon in Bali and Singapore!

Adelia + Thomas | Part Two: The Elopement | Adventurous Destination Elopement Photography at Achensee in Tyrol & Innsbruck, Austria | Travel Wedding Photographers in Indianapolis

If you missed our first part to this adventure from Indianapolis to Innsburck, Austria, please be sure to follow the link above! Our second day of shooting around Tyrol took us to beautiful Aachensee and some unique castle ruins. Out of all the places we ventured to, Achensee was what truly captured our hearts. The crystal clear water surrounded by gorgeous pines and mountains was so peaceful. The sun was beginning to set behind the mountains, adding that extra airy light to the already dreamy atmosphere. The ruins gave us all the Outlander feels—if you haven’t watched the show, you can find it now on Netflix! The mixed stones and rocky archways added to the romantic scenery of the alps. Overall, this was the perfect way to cap off our destination engagement and elopement photography session with Adelia and Thomas! What a blessing it was to be hired as their photographers for this amazing experience. We so enjoyed our time in Austria and hope to go back soon!

Adelia + Thomas | Part One: The Engagement | An Adventurous Destination Engagement Photography Session in the Alps | Innsbruck, Austria | Travel Wedding Photographers in Indianapolis

We just returned from an amazing trip to Innsbruck, Austria with this adventurous couple and we could not be more excited to share some of our favorite images from the trip! We’re kicking off our three blog post run we are planning with their engagement session! This day started off early with a stroll through the historic town before heading 7,400 feet up to Nordkette in the Alps! That was our first time on a mountain and it was quite literally breathtaking. We rounded out the day with some photos on a nearby farm that looked like it was straight out of the Sound of Music (something we routinely brought up haha). This was a great way to kick off our week long tour of Innsbruck and we cannot wait to share more with you!
