Here’s to Mr & Mrs McGlocklin!

We could not have kicked off our 2019 wedding season in a better way! Spending the day with Jill and Matt was so much fun! We already knew after their windy engagement session in Chicago that we would have a great time with them. When we were saying goodbye at the end of the night, these two successfully got me all choked up! We truly loved every minute of working with this sweet couple and are beyond excited to share some of our favorite images from their classic and romantic wedding at the Biltwell Event Center in downtown Indianapolis, IN! These two designed their day around the venue and it was perfection! They chose an elegant white and black affair with small hints of gold and fresh greenery. Their vendor team was an all star cast and we could not be more thankful for the opportunity to work beside such rockstars! Although the weather was rainy and gray, that did not stop us from heading outside for their portraits—and it was MAGIC! As I always say, never say no to photos outside, even if it looks completely gross in person. The wind in your hair is ALWAYS worth it in the end! Jill looked absolutely stunning (as always) while Matt looked truly dapper in his classic black tux. Together, they made one super dreamy bridal couple! We hope these two have enjoyed their time away before heading back to the Gold Coast!

Alyson and Matt are two of a kind! They both love to goof off and laugh together--some of our favorite things! When I say they love to laugh, I mean that they laughed throughout their entire engagement session! We were so blessed with a beautiful evening to capture their engagement on a private farm in Sheridan, IN. The long grasses danced in the wind while two nearby horses gave us the stink eye. We had a great time with these two and we cannot wait to photograph their wedding in central Indiana this fall!

Shannan and Paul are so much fun to work with! They are full of life and laughter, making their love such a joy to capture! I'm so glad we decided to wait an extra week for their session because the weather was wonderful and all of the greenery popped up at our local Carmel, IN parks, as well as a few flower buds! We can't wait to capture their wedding at the Evan Lurie Gallery in the Arts and Design District of Carmel this summer!

ENGAGEMENT PHOTOGRAPHY | Natalie & Cameron - Indianapolis, IN

Not only did we luck out with the perfect weather for their engagement session (when rain had been forecasted for weeks) but Natalie and Cameron planned the perfect outfits for their shoot! These two are too adorable and we had a blast running around downtown Indianapolis with them! Our time working with them was full of laughter, stories of guacamole and leg day pain--and it was wonderful! We cannot wait to work with them again on their wedding day in October at the Broadmoor Country Club in Indianapolis!

TRAVEL | Texas - Houston, Katy, Waco, Galveston

In early January, we flew down to Houston, TX to visit our family that lives in Katy and we had so much fun adventuring with them! Friday was filled with tours of Houston and Katy as well as some delicious catfish from Texas Borders. Saturday we traveled out to Waco, TX to visit Magnolia Market! We are huge Fixer Upper (HGTV) fans and love Chip and Joanna's style so it was exciting to see some of their designs in person. They have created a little community in the heart of Waco called the Magnolia District. It is home to the Magnolia Silos, where locals and visitors can play with their children, eat yummy food from food trucks and the Silos Baking Co, shop 'til they drop in Magnolia Market and relax under umbrellas. Not to mention, all of the photo opportunities! That evening, we returned home and visited Yen Teppanyaki Sushi Steakhouse and ate the most delicious hibachi meal! Sunday was filled with our final adventures as we visited a popular coastal beach town in Texas, Galveston. We ran through the chilly waves with our silly niece, collected seashells and took in the beautiful Gulf of Mexico view. Although we had some hiccups with our flights, the trip was loaded with love and laughter as we bonded with our family and experienced a new area we had not been to before. We are excited to go back again soon! Until then, the photos we captured will just have to tide us over.
