Lauren + Carey | DIY Dream Wedding in the Woods | Zionsville, IN

Fine Art Indianapolis Destination Wedding Photographer

Here's to Mr & Mrs Goodspeed!

Lauren and Carey are the definition of hopeless romantics...and we love it! Both are artistic and radiated happiness the entire day. They met seven years ago and the second time they met, Carey asked Lauren to be his girlfriend. How cute is that?! On a trip to Colorado to see their favorite band, Carey popped the question with a family heirloom ring in the middle of adventuring Red Rocks. Their longstanding relationship has allowed them to grow as individuals as well as a couple together. Their background allowed their guests to be over the moon for the two of them, as they have watched them grow. Their wedding day felt like a romantic Colorado destination wedding in the woods. Not only was the early fall scenery dreamy, so was their love for one another. When the groom cries from pure joy on and off throughout the wedding day, you know there is an unbelievable amount of love there! The two wrote each other love letters and read them prior to their first look. I watched Lauren light up while Michael watched Lauren's letter touch Carey. Those letters set the tone for the rest of their day, and it was wonderful. Their first look was so sweet. Carey could not keep his eyes off of Lauren as she could not stop smiling. She wore a beautiful vintage dress while he wore a trendy fitted blue suit. To say Lauren went above and beyond to create the most romantic setting for her and Carey's wedding on Saturday is an understatement. She designed everything flawlessly and had a wonderful team of loved ones to help her execute it all. Their wedding truly proved the phrase, "it takes a village" to be truthful! Decor from Etsy, Goodwill and more locations as well as some handmade items such as the hand dyed gauze table runners all meshed together beautifully. Fine china, ribbon draped bouquets, vintage candlesticks and a tall donut tower created by the groom were some of our favorite touches. Although the date and changing leaves offered the impression of a cool, fall wedding day. We were all shocked with full sun and heat in the upper 80s! Their loved ones were so kind and excited for these two beautiful souls. The entire group was a dream to work with! We cannot say congratulations enough to Lauren and Carey! We hope they enjoy their honeymoon cruise to Jamaica and Mexico!
