I loved working with Kendra and Derek as soon as we started! These two were a bowl of laughs and energy, making for a fun session and beautiful photos. When I have a groom tell me he loves out of focus photos, I know they are my dream clients! We chatted about soft focus images and how they are so romantic, amongst other things. Halfway through the session, their adorable pup joined us! He was such a sweetheart! Overall, it was a great engagement session at a beautiful park in Carmel, IN at sunset. Their wedding was an absolute blast! Megan, Kyle and their loved ones were so easy to get along with. The joy at their wedding was contagious. Smiles bounced from face to face as family members, new and old, bathed in the love surrounding these two. Megan planned everything for their romantic garden wedding down to the final detail and it showed. The weather opened up to give us full sun all day with puffs of white clouds passing through the blue sky every few minutes. Their day could not have been any more perfect for the new Mr & Mrs Barjon! I'd love to go on more about this awesome couple, but I feel that their handwritten vows to each other do the trick:

Megan,
I didn't know I loved you for the longest time, but I did know I never wanted to lose you (which probably led to some frustrations later in our relationship but I'm glad you decided to keep me). I believe that we were meant to be standing here today and although we both chose Sienna for sports, it's like we were both led there to start our journey together. I thank God every day for you, and I am truly in awe at what a super woman you are. You are kind, powerful, beautiful, the biggest planner I have ever known, but what I love most about you is your emotions and how easily empathy towards others comes for you. Me on the other hand, I tend to carry none of those qualities, so I think it's safe to say that you complete me.

I have prayed for you, cried over you, laughed because of you and at you, been amazed by you and I have been completely unwaveringly, frustratingly in love with you since I first flirted with you your freshman year. Your heart is as big as the ocean and the amount of grace, love, compassion and respect you have for others is inspiring. I stand before you today to promise you the best of me and the worst of me and I promise to love the best of you and the worst of you. I promise to encourage you, to challenge you, to annoy you, to support you and to inspire you. I promise to go through all of our trials and our triumphs right by your side. Madeleine + Charles | A Nautical Military Wedding | Mustard Seed Gardens

Here's to Mr & Mrs Luther!

We had an absolute blast capturing Charles and Madeleine's wedding day! Madeleine has been one of our sweetest brides to date. Her laid back manor and kind disposition truly made the planning leading up to the big day easy and fun. We can see why Charles loves her so much! It was wonderful finally seeing these two together as a couple. Since before the day Madeleine booked with us, Charles has been serving our country over seas. He flew home just three days before their big day! Considering Madeleine did majority of the planning on her own, we were truly impressed with how well thought out and cohesive all of her details were! She stuck to the nautical theme, honoring Charles' branch in the military, but made sure to add a little bit of whimsical garden decor to match the beautiful reception location. Charles wore his dress whites for the wedding so Madeleine found a stunning fit and flare dress in bright white from Alfred Angelo's to match. The two looked like a dream and gave the famous "Unconditional Surrender" statue a run for it's money! We hope these two have had a wonderful honeymoon in Maui, Hawaii and have a safe move to California!

Korinda + Ryan | A Classic Wedding at a Historic Theatre | Fort Wayne, IN

Yesterday morning, we photographed one beautiful, classic wedding at the Embassy Theatre in Fort Wayne, IN. Korinda and Ryan are two of a kind, just as their friends and family mentioned throughout the day. They knew soon after they started dating that they wanted to marry each other. When the two took a camping trip up to the Michigan Upper Peninsula, Ryan popped the question officially. He was so excited to share the rest of his life with Korinda, he had to ask her just after they finished pitching the tent! Korinda was overjoyed at the fact that she was building campfires with an engagement ring on her hand! Now that they are husband and wife, they can't wait to travel the world together. They'll be getting a head start on their world wide travels as a newlywed couple by visiting a destination neither have been to yet, South Africa! There is no doubt these two will have a beautiful life together.

Kendall's Newborn Photography Session | Wide Awake But Drowsy All Over | Carmel, IN

I am so thrilled that Holly and Will welcomed their little girl, Kendall, into this world earlier than planned because she is just the cutest little piece of perfection! Not only did she try to stay awake the entire session, her main goal was to keep one eye on me the entire time. We had to have a nice chat about how leaving one eye open while the other is shut isn't a good look. Holly and I laughed through the entire session because of sweet Kendall and her silly faces. I am so glad I get to work with this doll for her first full year of life!
