When two sisters you work with decide to combine their family portrait sessions so they can get some “cousin pictures,” then you do it! I had SO much fun working with three of my favorite kiddos as they goofed off together on a beautiful fall evening. Grandma worked so hard to get some smiles out of them that she deserved her own close ups too! I already cannot wait for the next time I get to work with Ashley, Nicole and their beautiful families!

I had so much fun reconnecting with a couple of my mom’s favorite students during this fall family photography session! Every year, I capture Darcy’s annual portraits and every year, the sass becomes more and more alive! We had so much fun adventuring through one of my favorite parks in Carmel last week. We saw woodpeckers, turtles and LOTS of mosquitos. It may not feel like fall, but we had a beautiful evening filled with golden fall vibes and the result was so beautiful. It matched perfectly with all of the REAL smiles and giggles I was able to get out of this silly gal! Also, she rocks a jean jacket better than anyone I know! Such a cutie.

Darcy is TEN! I cannot believe it! In case you have missed her annual portrait updates each year, this is my sassy cousin/goddaughter and I adore her. She is funny, smart and a ball of energy. This year, we ventured through one of my favorite parks that Michael and I take walks at and now I’m adding it to my list of session locations because it is SO beautiful! She even told me I needed to. HA! Also, she has become a pro at the fake laugh—clearly she took notes from last year’s session. Her fake laugh had me laughing along with her, which in turn made her offer up some REAL giggles! As always, I had so much fun working with this chicken nugget and I can’t wait to see what this year brings for her.

This little firecracker is ONE! I cannot believe Jackson has already reached his 12 month milestone! What better way to celebrate this 4th of July baby than with an All American themed session! First, we ventured through the streets of Cicero before heading to his backyard for the big cake smash! And what a smash it was…just look at that mess! This happy little boy and his parents have been so much fun to work with, as always! I can’t wait to work with them again and to keep watching this guy grow!
