HELLO, MAMA!

Becoming a mother, putting this tiny human's life ahead of your own, is a beautiful time in your life. I love going on this journey with my mommy-to-be's. Capturing the pure emotion and love you hold for your sweet babe is more than special, it is unique.

After you have given birth to your little darling, I offer a boatload of sessions so you don't miss any important monumental moments. I offer a newborn session, that captures them during their first few weeks of life, as well as milestone sessions for 3, 6, 9 and 12 months.

Overall, the journey of motherhood is one of my favorites to capture. I hope I get the pleasure of capturing yours!

Along with the classic portraits of you smiling at the camera, you will also receive the images that will live in your memory. I will direct you through easy poses that are filled with movement, where laughter and stray kisses are *always welcome*.
Being able to focus on each other during these moments is the most important. When you look back on these photos, you will remember how it felt to be in that moment, twirling, walking, kissing and laughing together. You will remember the little belly laughs and how it felt to hold your little one. You will remember it *all too well*.

Holding a Reverence for *Real Emotions*

The best part of a gallery is being able to look back on the emotions felt in those fleeting moments.
For instance, I will never forget every sibling that made themselves at home during a newborn session in my studio. There have been pillow forts made, critter catchers (spying my random animal figurines/toys and choosing to hold them), tickle fights, bubble blowing and so much more. I truly believe my house has become even more a *home* thanks to the little ones who have visited.

Capturing All as if Subjects in a *Classic Work of Art*

Not only will I capture your emotions and relationships, but I will capture you naturally. Growing up, I would visit the Indianapolis Museum of Art and I always admired the way children and families were painted. Smiles were never forced but connections were displayed with the holding of a hand or an embrace as I imagined they were rocking back and forth. Children occassionally had a toy or two, I assumed to help with cooperation. But when children were happiest in the paintings was when they were *moving*. This is why it is so important to allow them to be themselves when we work together. Letting their personalities shine through, even with the wiggles, is what will give us those dream photos!

Each image you receive is hand-edited by Kat. She selects all of the best images from your day (approx. 50-100 per hour) and edits them in both Color & Black and White. You will receive a Download PIN so you and your loved ones can save your gallery in High Resolution. You are able to print wherever you’d like or you have the option to order from our printing lab in your gallery.

A Custom Timeline & Open Availability for Your Questions

We will work together on designing the layout of your day or full weekend of events if selecting extended coverage. Our goal is to optimize your photography experience and one key part of doing that for you is by designing the layout of your events with you. Along with our timeline assistance, Kat is available to you for any questions you may have. It is difficult and confusing planning a wedding so you are welcome to utilize her nearly 10 years of experience in the industry!

WILL YOU POSE OR DIRECT US WHILE YOU DOCUMENT OUR WEDDING?
Absolutely, but only when called for! Much of your day will be filled with you interacting with your loved ones. At those times, we will focus on documentary-style images. When we get our moment to make some magic with you, we will walk you through everything so you are completely at ease. You are going to be so confident in front of the camera once we start working together!
IN YOUR OPINION, WHAT MAKES A BEAUTIFUL PHOTOGRAPH?
So much goes into capturing stunning photographs, but the main aspect that truly makes an image pop is the lighting and where the photographer stands according to it’s direction. The lighting will make or break an image so knowing your angles and how they will translate in the camera is a MUST for any true photographer.
WHEN ALL IS SAID AND DONE, HOW WILL WE RECEIVE OUR GALLERY?
After your images have been hand-edited, they will be uploaded to your online gallery. We will email you an email directly from the gallery platform, Pixieset, that includes direct access to your personalized gallery as well as your Download PIN.
HOW DO WE BOOK OUR DATE(S) WITH YOU?
Kat loves to meet her couples with a quick chat over the phone prior to booking. This way, she can answer any questions you might have and help you decide which collection would be best for what you are envisioning. After that call, she will send over a link to the contract as well as a separate email from Square with the investment invoice. 50% of the investment is due at signing to secure your wedding date. No dates are held until these steps are completed.
