When two sisters you work with decide to combine their family portrait sessions so they can get some “cousin pictures,” then you do it! I had SO much fun working with three of my favorite kiddos as they goofed off together on a beautiful fall evening. Grandma worked so hard to get some smiles out of them that she deserved her own close ups too! I already cannot wait for the next time I get to work with Ashley, Nicole and their beautiful families!

Every year, I capture Darcy’s annual portraits and every year, the sass becomes more and more alive! We had so much fun adventuring through one of my favorite parks in Carmel last week. We saw woodpeckers, turtles and LOTS of mosquitos. It may not feel like fall, but we had a beautiful evening filled with golden fall vibes and the result was so beautiful. It matched perfectly with all of the REAL smiles and giggles I was able to get out of this silly gal! Also, she rocks a jean jacket better than anyone I know! Such a cutie.

Madison and her siblings decided to surprise their parents with a sweet anniversary session after her own family portraits and it turned out so dreamy! We met at one of my favorite parks for a sunrise session on a cool summer morning and held her family session before her siblings and parents arrived to join the shoot. They all were dressed perfectly to match the organic wildflower fields. The sun rose in a pure white and threw golden beans all around—my favorite setting! I had such a great time working with this beautiful family! It was a fabulous start to my day!

Darcy is TEN! I cannot believe it! In case you have missed her annual portrait updates each year, this is my sassy cousin/goddaughter and I adore her. She is funny, smart and a ball of energy. This year, we ventured through one of my favorite parks that Michael and I take walks at and now I’m adding it to my list of session locations because it is SO beautiful! She even told me I needed to. HA! Also, she has become a pro at the fake laugh—clearly she took notes from last year’s session. Her fake laugh had me laughing along with her, which in turn made her offer up some REAL giggles! As always, I had so much fun working with this chicken nugget and I can’t wait to see what this year brings for her.
The Manley Family | Front Porch Mini Photography Session After Quarantine | Noblesville, IN Portrait Photographer
Quarantine has been lifted and I am finally able to capture beautiful families like the Manley’s again! If I’m being honest, I definitely got emotional after this session. It was so freeing being able to get back to doing what I love. I had such a blast catching up with these two and seeing how big Emmy has gotten since her newborn session! She is SO beautiful! I cannot wait to see them again very soon for her milestone session that has been pushed back since March!
I hope all of you have stayed sane, safe and happy during this dreary time. Just remember, no matter where you are at in the world, there IS a light at the end of the tunnel. For me, that light was this outdoor lifestyle session and I am beyond grateful that Amanda asked if I would capture this unique time for them as soon as the shelter in place was lifted.
